Charlemagne College (NL) is situated in a former coalmining area with a lot of unemployment > 16%. The income per capita is lower than the national average and much lower than the average in Limburg. A lot of parents don’t have the money to bring their children abroad. Erasmus+ funds enable many of our students’ participation in European projects that, otherwise, would hardly be afforded.
Charlemagne College is an open and enterprising school (1400 students) in which man and woman have equal access to all facilities in the school. The motto of our school is: "Create your future": We let our students realize their dreams of the future by means of toprated programmes on our dynamic location. Our education location has all the State-of-the-art amenities needed for taking care of good and future-oriented education.
Target areas in the school curriculum are European dimension and Bilingual education. Charlemagne College is a TTO school.
Possibilities for following Certificates : IB English A2 Language and Literature; TTO Senior certificate; Cambridge English Language AS level; Goethe certificate.
Charlemagne College wants to give their students a lot of opportunities to become real European citizens with a better chance to work and live successfully in the European Union. We want our pupils about (their) borders mesh, and thus their boundaries.
In the year 2000 we founded the Network “Euro School Net 2000”, an association of 14 European schools and 2 teacher training colleges, in order to give the students, teachers and the management team of our Network schools many more opportunities to learn from and to work with each other.
